Hey - I spent a bit of time earlier setting out a case for the abolition of VRT with a mind to using Lisbon II as a point of leverage.

    - Anyway there is a post over on After Hours at the moment which I hope outlines why we should make our feelings known on this sneaky, dishonest, stealth tax, if you have the rational-thinking mans hatred of compliance to the absurd and a general unwillingness to pi$$ away cash while meeting the demands of corrupt political funding devices, then please take the time to post why YOU feel that VRT is a sad reflection on Irelands current EU footing as we head into Lisbon II.

    Anyway link is here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055324949

P.S. The thread was posted in After Hours as its the Boards.ie main St. and has the passing crowds, ie. large numbers etc. - was never meant to be a snub to Motors and all its motoring goodness ;)

    Classic fail :D

VRT and the Lisbon treaty have nothing to do with each other (and should have nothing to do with each other)

    Thread closed ...non starter.

Take it to politics (if you must)
