Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need to diagnose a problem with my mother in laws computer. My plan is to use a live cd, but her computer's old and has no NIC so internets is through USB.

Just wondering if anyone here uses the standard zyxel modems through USB on linux? If so, will I find drivers on any recent live cd's?

A mate of mine does, uses that Xyxcel usb dongle, Its not supported in Ubuntu Hardy and refused completely to work, but works fine with latest Linux Mint 5.0 for some strange reason even though Mint is 95% Ubuntu. Mint boasts added support for stubborn wifi devices, this just prooves this.

I'll IM him and get him to post here later with the model no of the Zxycel dongle later

If that doesn't work text me and I'll bring a spare 10/100 nic into town for you tomorrow.

[edit]I assume it has a spare PCI port.
