These two are fighting it out for second and third place on the CAO and I'm just having a last minute doubt.

From as far as I can tell they have quite similar subjects, is either more or better recognised?

    Pros and cons?

Well I don't know much about the DCU degree but the BComm is at Quinn School which is the only Business School in Ireland with the triple crown of accreditation, and it's linked with the UCD Michael Smurfit Postgraduate Business School which means you tend to get world class lecturers for final year subjects. There's also the whole UCD Horizons thing which lets you pick one elective module from anywhere in the university per semester, if that interests you. And you have the oppertunity, but not the obligation, to go away on exchange for a semester.

I posted full details of the course here.

Just realised it's after 5pm so this info might be too late but I hope it helps!

Unless things in DCU have changed you won't be able to specialise in accounting in final year (traditionally the career of choice for about 50% of business grads). Some people I work with have to do more exams now because they did BBusStud in DCU rather than doing B. Accounting and Finance, or B.Comm.
