I see lots of people posting here asking about readings, and I just wanted to post a little advice on the different types of reader and what to expect. Hopefully others can add to it.

A medium is a reader who will solely link to a spirit connection for you. A spirit connection is someone around you who has died, that you will recognise and who will pass a message to you. Sometimes this is just about them, sometimes they wish to advise you on issues you have. A medium should not ask for information at all, and should only want yes and no responses from you. Mediums do not make fortune telling predictions.

A psychic is a reader who will provide information about you, your life, people you have dealings with, your past and usually your future. The amount of prediction done varies from reader to reader, but you should always feel that they have given you information you can confirm about your life first, so you know they have linked well with you. If you have specific questions, ask them.

Psychics can use various tools to work: cards, palmistry, numerology, are all helpful to readers, but are simply that, tools which allow them to work and connect to you. Mediums do not generally use any props or tools. Confusion arises when you get a reader who reads in both ways.:) (A psychic-medium) But always, make sure you are happy that the information is accurate and beneficial.

If you are troubled by anything that is said, do say so to your reader, and allow them to explain and hopefully dispel your fears. Likewise, if you are unhappy, tell your reader why. We all need feedback, good and bad.

Very good idea Oryx & very well put

The onlhy things I can think to add are these

    1. Manage your expectations... be realistic, if you go looking for a specific prediction about a realtionship/situation then you're likely to be dissapointed.

    2. If you have questions, write them down... you never remember them when you're in there

    3. You've already said this but it's worth repeating... if you are not happy with the reading or something isn't making sense then say it!!
