Delighted Mick has got through, he seems to be in better form this year after a disastrous year last year. Also good to see the likes of King qualify, great to have the big names in there. Well done to Stompe and Thornton too, showing that they both can do well on the PDC circuit.

Whose everyone goin for here? My two picks are James Wade and Terry Jenkins! Wadey is flying high but Jenkins has been known to get to alot of finals but cant take that one every step across the finish line.

McGowan looks like he could pull off a surprise
Edit: we can forget about that

Some poor misses by McGowan on that match, Jenkins was there for the taking. The three darts Mick missed when he was on 32 to draw level was very poor.

Great win for Priestley although Stompe never showed up.

Mardle getting a bit of a beating at the moment.

What the hell was Colin Lloyd at there?

93 left, goes for bull, he hits 25 then goes at the Bull again and hits it????

    James Wade 8-5 Mark Walsh
    Peter Manley 8-6 Adrian Lewis
    Andy Hamilton 8-7 Jelle Klaasen
    Roland Scholten 8-6 Terry Jenkins
    Phil Taylor 8-4 Dennis Priestley
Alan Tabern 8-4 Raymond van Barneveld
    Adrian Gray 8-3 Sam Rooney
    Mervyn King 8-6 Darin Young

Some good games tonight, Wade looked a bit off against Walsh but came through.
A good match between Manley and Lewis with Manley coming from 4-1 down.

Nip and tuck then between Hamilton and Klassen but a good match to watch.

Shock of the night was Tabern beating Barneveld with such a comfortable scoreline.

All in all a good nights darts.

Yeah very comfortable scoreline for Tabern, no one would have seen that one coming. Really enjoyed the Lewis v Manley match. The standard was excellent, havent seen manley hit so many 180's in the one match before.

Little disappointed Priestley couldnt put it up to Taylor a bit more, he usually gives him a good game.

Taylors title to lose now I think.

    Roland Scholten vs. Mervyn King
    Phil Taylor vs. Adrian Gray
    James Wade vs. Andy Hamilton
    Alan Tabern vs. Peter Manley

I wouldn't go that far yet KingP35, while I think Taylor will beat Gray easily enough its the playing of the semi final and final in the same evening that could be the deciding factor.

    Semi Finals.
    Wade v Manley.
    Taylor v Scholten.

Was only half watching the 1/4s. Scholten blitzed King without averaging particularly highly.
Wade looked in decent nick for long periods but rather stumbled over the line in the end (and bizzarely enough in the interview afterwards seemed to think it was a last16 game, not a 1/4 final !).
Manleys game was attrociously bad, everytime I looked up he seemed to be going for doubleOne.
    Didn't see PTs game.

    Semis and Final today.

Total lack of atmosphere in the MGM and the players don't seem too bothered anyway (only £20K for winner).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 606 ✭✭✭NeoRox

Taylor beats Wade by a 13-7 scoreline. Decent enough game with Taylor getting in to an early lead and never really letting Wade in.

As ArmaniJeanss said the atmosphere was really bad at the MGM.

    Blackpool next.

It was on in the Mandalay Bay not the Mgm, bare in mind it starts at half 10 in the morning over there, I was there myself and have to say it was far more enjoyable than any of the tournaments over here. Some may say lack of atmosphere but I would put it down to far more respect for the players when throwing. Its not all about drinking and making noise, its about good darts
