Buying a MTB for general cross country mountain biking in the mountains

Hey guys,

Was wondering if you could help me. Looking to buy a new MTB, I have an idea what I want.

Aluminium frame
Good disk brakes
At least 24 gears
Roughly 20 inch frame as I'm 6'0/6'1
Hard tail front suspension
Have a budget of around 600 Euro

Would prob be looking for a good second hand one. Anyone know where I can buy one online?

They have great deals. Your best bets are going to be Giant XTC and Specialized Hardorck Disc. Do a search on here, there are loads of similar threads to this one.

Might be better off with a lower range rockhopper than a higher range hardrock. You can at least upgrade the rockhopper then, having the good frame.
