Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,
Since it's freezing outside I decided I'd post in here...
Has anyone ever gone away for the new-years? I'm thinking of heading off this year with a group, any recommendations? Looking for somewhere not too expensive - have been to Borovets already, loved it but might try somewhere different this year.
Also when is the best time to book?
    Cheers,
    H2DC.

It will be expensive going over Christmas or New Years, and can only assume that the prices will go up the later you book it. If the actual dates and getting time off are not an issue though then going the first week of January after New Year should work out cheaper and will probably result in emptier slopes wherever you go which is what I did this year.

Of course if your daring you could just wait until a couple of weeks before your planning on going and see where is going cheap in last minute deals, but there's no knowing where you'd end up then.

I'm going to Oberstdorf with my g/f, my sister and her b/f and hopefully a few more.
Booked flights earlier this week. If my calculations are right it'll cost €560 not including food and drink or lessons for 1 week

New Years, this year falls on a great week 27th Dec to 3rd Jan (Saturday to Saturday) so for the majority of people, they wont have to take any work holidays. Coupled with that we had a great season last year so alot of people will be skiing europe rather than Canada\US. All in all its going to be a busy season so I would book as early as you can!

Would you go to Livigno? Cheap and Cheerful begineer spot>?

Livigno is great spot, my love for which was pretty much expressed in thread below. I won't repeat myself so I'll let u read it yourself...

Cheers for the replys, I looked into going to Livingo last year as a mate had recommended it, but I was under the impression it was fairly pricey?
Will have a look into Oberstdorf also :)
