Quite incredible. WA puts on his Boards kit and gets spotted everywhere.
I put mine on and never get spotted. In fact anytime I wear it on a solo spin other cyclists seem to make a point of catching me...overtake me and then sit 200 mtrs in front of me.
Happened twice today on a solo spin to Howth.

Didn't see you on the bike but there was only one outside on the stands - unless you parked somewhere else?

The majority of times I'm in Boards gear, I'm not spotted!

There were a few more - pink/green at registration and another pink/green at the foodstop.

(...and loads of Boardsies not in Boards gear!)

I was probably drowned out by the wind and cars passing at the same time :)

I don't remember passing anyone in matching jerseys, so maybe not :( I did overtake two ladies shortly after on the cycle track near Kilbarrack Rd. on the way into town, but they had rain jackets on.

Lots of cyclist (and tourists) out around Howth today.

EDIT: I got a shout and a wave further on but only copped it after he passed.

It felt chilly enough when when I got up at 7 this morning so I wrapped up. I'll need to shed some layers for the journey home.

Passed a Boardsie in Santry just before 6 this evening heading north in green kit. I was heading south. We were both stopped at the lights at Omni. I was in the new kit and exchanged waves.

In that case I think I saw you in Drumcondra. I was in a car driving north at that stage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,863 ✭✭✭✭crosstownk

Yep. I would have passed through Drumcondra not long after 6pm.

New kit (3 stripe) heading down from the Howth summit towards the graveyard at 13:24. And either a second new kit or the same guy at 14:07 on Strand Rd. heading south towards Portmarnock. Only gave a shout the second time.
