Quite chilly out there this evening, the summer seems to be over :(
The schools are back next week, which means we're guaranteed at least two more weeks of decent sunshine.

It'll be at most 4 weeks though before I'm wearing base layers in the morning :(

saw a new boards jersey and shorts while waiting at the railway barriers yesterday morning in sutton around 11.00.

If there were two others in non-boards gear, then it was me. Went for my first spin up windgate (rhs at the church) - set a new personal best for going very slowly while pushing as hard as I could. 5.4kph. This easily surpasses my previous low on a very knackered climb up the last km or so of Sally Gap (8.5kph) Still - it's part of my route over Howth now. 'hoping for 6kph any day now.

Quite probably me - feeling a pi$$ed off that the wind wouldn't go and play somehwere else! All my inter-cert geography classes were about prevailing winds being from the SW - it's been all NW and NE in August!

Saw both DirkVoodoo and Caroline_ie around the sports centre this afternoon as I was heading down to register. I didn't want to roar, but did a couple of little waves that were missed!

That was me. It was about that point that I started to regret not bringing a rain jacket...

Or was it? Perhaps a bizarre coincidence but I also went up Old Long Hill at about 1.00pm in full (old) Boards kit on said day and I passed/nodded at a red-clad cyclist on a white bike, minutes before getting a soaking on the way into Laragh. This was later compensated for by a fantastic Rathnew to Rathdrum section: favorable wind, sun and excellent road surface. Absolutely flew along.

Actually, it was definitely yourself if it was around that time. I would have been around later on in the evening.

me me me if it was full new kit - didn't see any othe boardsie that day. That very strong wind in my face for over two hours at the start was more than made up for by a great group from RoeValley cc who dragged me home at a great pace
