Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It looks like we have to endure more of TV3 than first thought.

Uefa has announced two new deals for the Uefa Cup broadcast rights in the Republic of Ireland over the four year period between 2009 and 2012, with commercial channel TV3 leading the way.

TV3 has secured the rights to the first-choice live match in each match week, including the Uefa Cup final, over the next four seasons. The channel will also offer a comprehensive highlights programme each match week.

The award of the Uefa Cup media rights to TV3 follows its recent acquisition of a major package of Uefa Champions League rights.

Meanwhile, Irish satellite broadcaster Setanta Sports has obtained the exclusive rights to all other Uefa Cup live matches, which will be broadcast on Setanta Ireland and Setanta Sports 1.

Each broadcaster will also exploit the rights on the internet via tv3.ie and setanta.com as well as on mobile, thereby ensuring maximum exposure for audiences in the Republic of Ireland.

A statement from Uefa read: “We are very happy to have renewed Uefa Cup agreements with our incumbent broadcasters TV3 and Setanta in the Republic of Ireland.

“There is a great deal of excitement about the new-look Uefa Cup. Our partnership with each of these quality broadcasters gives fans in the Republic of Ireland the opportunity to see all the action from this great competition.”
