Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dundalk stumbled to victory last night at Oriel. Lots of chances as usual but no clinical finishing. No good when a team needs ten chances to score.

Need to buy a quality striker now...

...and missed out on going top of the league.

How many quality strikers have Dundalk let go, who are still playing?

    Bisto, Philly...:D

Ah c'mon Desmond, whatever about Bisto but Philly? How many has he scored for Shels this season. Good piece of business getting rid of the chubby fella. Had his best years up in Oriel but he was a spent force by the time he raeched your lot.

Phillip Hughes was excellent for Dundalk.

    Wasting his talent it seems.

Another win on the cards for City against Galway tonight. Playing with so much confidence and the front 2 are the best in the business. For all Mooneys goals, to see John O'Flynn bombing runs and shooting is showing signs that he could be BACK! to his old self which will please every LOI fan.

how many times has that phrase been used over the last three years?

he's playing well certainly, but i think he's lost a yard of pace. slowly getting his confidence back though

    Showing better stamina anyway.

Seemed to tire a lot in the last 2 years and was not able to keep up the intensity of his runs.

He will always be a quality striker as shown agasint Cobh,

Easy pickings for the chasing pack while Bohs' campaign goes on hold thanks to FAI scheduling.

How is it the FAI's fault? Maybe Bohs should be more concerned with re-arranging some of the games now rather than waiting till the end of the season when it will be more difficult for yourselves.

We wanted to play Rovers last week, the FAI wouldnt let us. Our away game in Riga is on Sunday night, no getting back to Dublin till monday evening at the earliest so cant play tuesday, Drogheda are using Dalymount for their UEFA cup games.

Drogs were pretty poor against an even poorer UCD tonight. UCD scored a really soft goal before halftime and Drogs were going nowhere. But once Doolin brought Richie Baker on he really turned things around.

Things are not well in the dressing room. The rumours are that Jason Gavin has gone and packed his bags after a row with Doolin. Stuart Byrne played right back tonight and looked out of sorts as well as out of position.

I heard also that some of the flag wavers have been banned from United Park for racially abusing our big useless Senegalese striker. Serves them right, they've got enough to abuse him with because of his total lack of skill without bringing his colour into it as well.

The one bright point tonight (apart from a rare 3 points at home) was Faz Kudozovic. Looked real quality and good with both feet.

Interesting game at the Cross last night. We well deserved the 3 points but had to work hard for them, given we were 0-2 down. The weather was appalling which was a shame as it could have been a good game otherwise. The Dub Mooney scored twice again, his second a penalty, which was also the winner.

Body blow to Galway, but I really hope Kenna turns it around for them as they are a nice side who at least try and play good football. Plus they brought almost as many fans as Cobh did. Which reminds me, lets all laugh at the homeless for not beating them again.

    Anyway, Mathews OUT!
