Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2 year Full licence for campervan rental

Myself and partner rented a 2 berth campervan for next weekend and got a request yesterday to give driver details. When I gave them, they said that they cannot rent to us as we have not a full licence for 2 years (only one and a half) and it was in term and conditions.

We had paid for the rental about 3 months ago and am just wondering is it a legal requirement for the driver of a camper to have a full licence for 2 years?

I understand that it was in term and conditions and we should have read more carefully but should they not have asked for proof before taking the money as we are now very stuck at the last minute.

Also my partner drives for a living so if i make them aware of that should it be an advantage. We are both over 25. Sorry for all the questions but they have not replied to my email since yesterday so just want some idea of our chances.

I would say that it is a requirement as part of their insurance. I wouldnt say your chances are great. But you never know.
