My predictions for this weekend's fixtures were all wrong apart from the Liverpool game so I suppose I should be fairly content with 24 points from 6 players.

I'll achieve a respectable enough score as long as Chelsea keep a clean sheet at Blackburn and Villa do the business against Boro. Fingers crossed...

A poor week. Just 44 points. I've lost my head to head by 5 points. I'm still second in my table but the guy on top is now 6 points clear.

I've had enough of Ashley Young, especially with Villa's future fixtures. So long matey...

A very dissapointing 45. Having said that, after a dreadful Saturday, I would have taken 40 points by the end of Sunday. Watched the Newcastle game and surprised Barton didn't get a bonus point.

This week, Cech and Nasri are in for VDS and Arteta and the following week, Arbeloa and Bent/Saha (circa 8.5 mill striker).

That will leave me with a core team of Cech, Agger, Arbeloa, Bosingwa, Ronaldo, Nasri, Lampard, Zaki, Bent (or Saha) to work with and I can interchange Figueroa, McShane, Barton, Delap, and C.Cole when needed. 1.0 m to spare too.

The other option is to make 3 subs next week and get in Cech, Torres and Ashbee with 1.1 left over. That can be used to get in a better third striker.

Opinions?

I've noticed that its too easy to ditch a bunch of players just because they have a bad week. The hit you take for drafting more than one guy out is too much, so I'm on one change per week maximum.

Agreed. However sometimes i believe the 4 point hit is necessary. Bent's current form suggests he could be out of my reach soon, so I had to get him in now.

The thing is both VDS and Arteta have been consistently poor over the last 5-6 weeks. United do not look solid at the back, and I can see Stoke scoring at the weekend. They do no look comfortable and Delap is going to cause problems. Arteta has been playing well at Everton, but it's not translating into goals, assists or even bonus points.

I think that 4 point hit will be more than paid back by Cech alone.

Tough call who to have captain this week.

United at home to Stoke, who've shown themselves to be able to trouble top teams, and Chelsea away to WB who're on the bottom...Fat frank would be the obvious call, but Ronaldo has this habit of picking up 15 points in a game...Decisions decisions!

It will never say that though. Deductions are made in multiples of 4.

I have Wright Philips but am thinking of getting rid of him, City are playing quite bad at the moment, also have Ireland and would get rid of him only for the fact that he still offers good value.

bosingwa has been a better option than terry so far.

Yeah agreed. I had both in my team up until last night. Stuck SWP on the bench last week cos he's been doing nothing for the last few weeks, glad I did now cos he only got his customary 2 points. So I got rid of him last night and Ireland will be after him if he doesn't buck up his ways!

Can someone clarify why Benoit Assou Ekoto was suspended last night from his red card on Sunday, and is therefore available for the weekend, yet Arbeloa, who looked like he was serving a suspension by not being in Liverpools squad last night, is down as being suspended for the next Premier League game?

Im still going to be loyal to Defoe - he is one of the most natural goal scorers in the league plus hits the penalties...

Bent is similar but Defoe edges it slightly.

Have Berbatov and Zaki as my other strikers... Bent may come in for Berbatov next week though!!

This week Im looking at switching my defence, I have money to spare after ditchin Ade... So prob will bring in Agger or Alex - or both! Being keeping an eye on Silvestre too, very cheap for a Arsenal defender - can grab a goal too!!

Strange for sure, I just checked out the FA disciplinary procedures

and it states on page 6 point (vii) that suspensions due to 5 yellow cards will start 7 days after the last offence.

I'd get rid of Anderson tbh.
He's not the kind of player who's going to get you many points.

Why would you put him in so? Go for a player that's on form, and forget about including players just because they have an Irish connection or are from the team you support. Always ends in tears.

Throw Delap in. He'll keep getting assists with his throw-in's. And he's a good bit cheaper than Anderson
