Presume every man and his dog will have Ronaldo as Capt. this weekend and tbh you'd be stupid not to. Happy enough with my team apart from Ireland - he seems to have gone off the boil big-time - thinking of getting in Modric (cheap enough at €6.9m) who surely can only improve now that Spurs are flying - only drawback means getting in another dud €4m defender and getting rid of Belhadj?

Opinions - Belhadj (Pompey) + Ireland or
    Griffin (Stoke) + Modric ???????????

More like City have gone off the boil, Ireland is still playing well.

But not in terms of FF points which is all that metters imo, that said he is quite cheap so is worth holding on to for the moment.

Swapped out A. Young and Robinho for Lamps and Bent this week.
Now.... who to captain this weekend. Ronaldo or Lamps?????

Bit of a coinflip I reckon but I'm leaning towards Ronaldo - thing is with Ronaldo he doesnt get as many assists as Lampard but he is liable to score a flutter of goals whereas Lampard wont...

    The choice is YOURS :D

    Reckon Berbs will start tomorrow?
Or will Fergie give Rooney+Tevez a chance together?

I reckon he will start especially as he is one of Uniteds taller players which will come handy dealing with Stokes long throws and corners. Plus he didnt start midweek against QPR.

You think Berbs will even venture back into his own half, let alone try and defend against Delaps throw ins!! Lazy git... :)

ya, I'm actually starting to side with lamps. Chelsea seem to have a habit of coming back from a poor result by knocking the absolute ****e out of whoever's in front of them. WB could be in for it after the burnley debacle.

With Alex out,I decided to bring in Agger,to facilitate this(I brought in Geovanni for Ireland)

    Left with this team

    Cech (Schwarzer)

    Agger Turner Figs (Baird,Traore)

    Geovanni Lamps Ronnie Marney(Delap)

    Defoe Torres Zaki

You guys think this is my best possible line up?

Aye but theres a lot of potential goalscorers at Chelski whereas Utd manage very few without Ronaldo being involved (he's scored twice as many as their next highest goalscorer this year despite being out for the opening games). Although personally, I'm more hopeful Anelka bags a dozen.

Yeah didn't hear about this, it changes everything as it means I'd be able to bring in anelka because I wouldn't have the max amount of chelsea players.

I'd keep Boswinga,Alex was only guaranteed a first team for next two game weeks anyway.

Getting my team right was not easy this week. Arbeloa suspended and now the news that Zaki has not travelled to Newcastle and since I already made a substituation early on in the week to bring Bent in before he rose in price I had to take another 4 point hit this week.

    Team for tomorrow:

    Cech
    Bosingwa, Aurelio, Laursen, Figueroa
    Ronaldo, Ireland, Lampard, Morrison
    Bent, Agbonlahor

    Subs:Schwarzer, Zaki, Pele, Little

I think it will be another ~50 week if I am lucky. All depends on Ronaldo and Chelsea.

Well even if Zaki was fit I would choose Bent over him at the moment. Wigan are beggining to struggle and tottenham are only on the way up at the moment.

Thanks, nice little site that. Think Ill leave him just in case, it will be Melchiot subbing in for him if he doesnt play so hopefully Wigan will get a good result either way.

    My team for this week-

    Reina
    Kompany Figureora Evra
    Ronaldo(C) Lampard Ireland Giovanni
    Bent Zaki Berbatov

Subs - Schwarzer, Melchiot, Delap, Young L

The last time someone on here said Zaki was injured he went out and scored two. I just left him in the team this week and if he doesn't play he'll just be subbed.

Captain Ronny off to a flyer.

Subbed A. Young out for Kuyt this week. Goal for the dutchman and now Young has missed a penalty. :D

Haha, the one week I make Rooney captain :p

Aside from that, 39 with 3 to play, coulda been a lot worse I guess..

Laursen, Kuyt, Ronaldo(c), 56 with 5 to play, great week so far.

Ive Reina, Laursen, Bosingwa, Ronaldo (c)... almost 60 points with these 4 alone, not including bonus points. Need Lampard to do something, then I've Robinho, Ireland, Geovanni and Zayatte playing tomorrow...

Only bad thing is I have FOUR players not playing, so a guaranteed 0 points for one player. I can understand Arbeloa missing a game through suspension, but why the f**k did Zaki not start? O'Brien didn't play for Bolton, and AFAIK Wheater won't start for Middlesbrough tomorrow

Still a good week though, hoping for 80+ pts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭thewools

If A Young had have scored his penalty I would have been flying - currently have 54 points with Lamps still playing, Turnbull, Ireland and Marney to play

Anyone know why Zaki didnt play?

I also brought in Alex this week for Laursen? Bad move - he not playing tonight!! But I also brought in Agger for Simpson so :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭thewools

Also I cant view other ppl teams in my leagues? How come?

    I need to know :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,543 ✭✭✭sionnach

My team can do no wrong, Anelka with two and an assist, Bosingwa with one, 90+ this week for sure, maybe 100 if hull do well against city

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Zaki was injured according to the BBC

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 15,237 Mod ✭✭✭✭FutureGuy

With 70 mins gone in the Chelsea game, I have 77 points. Captain Ronaldo and Anelka gdoing great and with VDS and Agger getting clean sheets,I'm hoping Bosingwa does the game. With a little luck with bonus points, I may hit 90.

I'm absolutely disgusted in myself. I forgot to change my captaincy from last week. I had intended it to be Ronaldo but it was left on Zaki. He didn't even play as it turns out.

This is a week to forget. I don't even care what points I end up with now.

    Damn this game!!!
