The problem is though if you don't have him and if (or more likely, when) he goes on a 5 or 6 game scoring spree you will fall way off the pace. Is there another midfielder in the competition capable of banging in 8 goals in 8 games or the like? Not for me there isn't.

I'm also considering getting rid of Ronaldo, but as Xavi said when he gets on a run he really scores an insane amount of points. Take this season for example, he's the second highest points-scoring midfielder despite having missed the first month and generally not playing very well.

Miller out for 6 weeks. Swapped him for Sidbhe before his price drops like a stone.

Was sweating as I have Camara, Ronaldo, Vidic and Zaki who all don't play in gameweek 18 but can swap Camara for Miller's replacement, Moore next week and I'll have a full squad for that week. Might catch a lot of people out.

Kompany would not be a bad choice plays every game and I expect city to start picking up clean sheets over christmas and into the new year, suffers a lot with yellow cards.

Belhadj is playing as a winger for portsmouth at the moment so should get some assists but can't see them getting clean sheets.

Arbeloa is a good option either.

Well he's the 2nd highest scoring defender after Bosingwa.

Not having a good run at the moment. This despite strenthening my team by the introduction of Bosingwa and Arbeloa.

Having gone on a 10 week winning streak in my head to head since gameweek 3, I'm now about to suffer my fourth loss in a row.

Top defenders in real terms.

Boasingwa, Vidic, Laursen (simply for bonus points)

Carra is solid because Liverpool is solid but not picking up as many bp as last season. Lescott is the same- had 8 goals or that last season but is only finding from now. Everton are leaky this season though. Hard to call.

I'd defo pump for Laursen or Vidic- Lausen is getting crazy amounts of bp's this season.

I moved up to 50 pts thanks to Jenas and Spurs keeping a clean sheet. Sadly I lost my head to head by 8 pts against my league's leader. I'm still in second place but he's now 12 points ahead and unbeaten. Vidic earned him 13 very helpful points.

Would have been more if Green hadn't conceded that second goal as with the amount of saves he made I reckon he would have got a bonus point..

I got rid of Anelka and brought in Drogs. I think that it is worth it because as soon as Drogba scores, his price will start to sky rocket.

Eh.... WTF?!?!?!?!!

Ireland has not done much in a couple of weeks. Big deal, he is the bargain of the season based on his return so far.

Kuyt is listed as a midfielder but has been playing well for the pool.

Finally, Anelka scores last week and you drop him for a guy who has spent the last few weeks on the bench. Even if Drogba starts this weekend and scores, his price will jump by 100k max by next week.
