Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. And he never does it in the big games ;)
Ah now, I'm not getting into that one!! ;)

Just making the point that most games between the top teams are low scoring games.

Having said that, can't wait for the 8 goal cracker tomorrow now!

Out of curiousity when has been the last time there was four or more goals in a game between two of the top sides. Surely we must be due one.

Yep, the old "Schwarzer as captain" trick back-fired on me as well.

    Gone for:

    Scawarzer
    Hangeland
    Carragher
    Upson
    Boswinga
    Baines
    Ronaldo
    Cahill (C)
    Taylor
    Lampard
    Van Persie

    Ireland on the bench.

Brought in Arshavin this week and made him captain, big risk, but hopefully he can repay me.

    Green

    Bosingwa
    Davies
    Baines

    Pennant
    Ireland
    Cahill
    A. Young

    ----Arshavin (C)---Berbatov---Agbonlahor

    Subs: Schwarzer, Belhadj, Bridge, Pedersen.

Pfffft, get with the times. I've had Arshavin the last few weeks, just made him captain this week though unfortunately. Don't understand why he's considered a forward while Ronaldo is still considered a mid though.

I'vd subbed out RvP and brought in Drogba this week despite the fact Robin likes to score against Blackburn.

    My team:

    Schwarzer

    Vidic Baines Jagielka Bramble

    Dempsey Ronaldo Cahill(C) Lampard Gerrard

    Beattie

I had an inspired decision at 11am this morning to change my captain from Schwarzer to... you've guessed it... Vidic :(

    -6 please Bob...

Well played, sir - I kinda considered buying him but when Gerrard and Ronaldo are considered midfielders and he is considered a striker it's a bit of a jip.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,441 ✭✭✭✭jesus_thats_gre

Walcott being considered a forward is also gay..

I heard he had scored, and then heard it had been taken off him.
As our match was starting it was 1-0.
When I heard the final score I was mighty happy :D

I put the captaincy on Van Persie.

    /bangs head repeatedly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

I had a feeling he wouldn't start after playing 120 minutes on Wednesday, otherwise I probably would have brought him in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

My master plan of giving the captaincy to Leighton Baines at the last minute almost paid off. Got himself an assist but the feckers had to bloody concede.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,568 ✭✭✭thewools

30 points so far - brought in Lescott this week - would have been even nicer if they didnt conceed...

Have lamps as captain, and modric, ireland and alex all left to play.

Vidic - will he get a 3 match ban now? Time to sell?

22 with Bosingwa, Lampard (c), Drogba and Jay Simpson to play. Just one of those weeks I guess. Stoke goal cost me 9 points. I want to get rid of one of my Everton defenders but impossible to choose between bonus point machine Jagielka and the assist-scoring Baines.

50 with Di Michele still to play.

Was planning to transfer Vidic out for a while now. Didn't get the chance with others being injured. Hes gone now though!

    Vidic -> Evans

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 15,237 Mod ✭✭✭✭FutureGuy

47 with Simpson to play. Would be great to get over 50. In my head to head, my opponet has a West Ham defender, so a Simpson goal could result in an 8-point swing.

40 points for the week, Vidic costs me my head to head match.

Replace Carlton Cole with Arshavin or Keane?

Delighted to see West Ham get a clean sheet but then seen that Upson only played 28 mins and had to go of...

So put in Keane instead or just leave Cole?I think that Arshavin has bit of class.I would put him up with Fabregas and Van Persie as the best players in the Arsenal team at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

In his first 6 games for Arsenal, Arshavin has gotten 5 assists and a goal. I'd say he's as good as any to bring in, especially considering he's just getting to full fitness and is fresh. The only downside is him being considered a forward

Not sure who I'm gonna bring in this week myself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

Gave Vidic the boot for the next 2 weeks as seen as he's suspended. Bought him for 6.9 and sold him for 7.6

He's already after dropping to 7.9 and should probably drop to around the 7.6 if I need to get him back in.

Took the 4 point hit and brought in evans for vidic and arshavin as well - his form has looked too good to ignore!

Have had a few very bad weeks lately so hoping for a good one - i.e. a hatrick for beattie and palacios :D

    89pts @ a 5.5 price tag makes economical sense.

That's about the only sense it makes!

Also going for Ireland as Captain this week. He's 10 games without a goal so surely he'll knock 1 or 2 past Sunderland at home.
    Gambooooolll!!!
Yeah but look at his points tally for the last 10 games

    6
    1
    1
    0
    2
    2
    2
    0
    2
    1

    Not great.....

Considering bring in Rooney as captain this weekend. Expect a big reaction from United after last weekends debacle and Im hoping Rooney will be at the forefront of any potential goal spree! :)

Brought in Drogba, both him and Chelsea have looked alot better under Hiddink, and I am hoping he'll hit some form

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

We will see. In fact, I've already seen. King's been on my team for quite some time. Think I lost half a mil on him! Bloody bench warmer.
