One of Portsmouth games is against United at OT. I can't see them getting anything there. I haven't had a Portsmouth player all year either.

Who are people thinking of for Captain this week. I have the 'Big 3' of Ronaldo, Gerrard and Lampard in my team, who do you reckon is the best bet?

I'm leaning towards Gerrard, even though Liverpool are facing an Arsenal side bang on form, I feel Liverpool will be well up for it and if we score Gerrard is bound to be involved. He tends to have big games in important fixtures. Only thing is, will he definitley start? I would assume he will seeing as he was considered for the Chelsea game and will have a whole extra week.

Ronny and Lamps will have played in the FA Cup at the weekend, does this put anyone off?

Also have the option of Crouchy who has a double gameweek, but I feel its probably an unneccessary risk.

    Thoughts?

Lampard is never rested. Hard to know with Ronaldo.

I've a choice between Rooney, Gerrard, Lamps, Fabregas and Torres.:(

If I knew Rooney would start i'd probably go for him as it's against Portsmouth. Leaning towards Lamps atm though. Given the fact he's never dropped and Chelsea are at home and they've a days more rest than Everton.

    Cech in goals.

Defence needs changing but it's: Baines, Figeuroa Evans(Young subs in if Evans doesn't play.)

Midfield is noprmally four man: Fabregas, Lamps, Gerrard, Dempsey

    Strikers: Rooney, Beattie, Torres.

Got Lamps since the start and my team value is 104 million.

Like the team.I'd get rid of Rooney for Drogba though.Rooney is not prolific enough.

Just tinkering around with my team after seeing Peterswellman team.If I got rid of Ronaldo.
My team could go from this
    Schwarzer Sorenson

    Jagielka Baines Shawcross Bramble Mendy

    Ronaldo Lampard Gerrard Cahill Dempsey

    Crouch Beattie Miller

    to this

    Schwarzer Sorenson

    Vidic Baines Shawcross Bramble Mendy

    Barry Fabregas Gerrard Lampard Cahill

    Drogba Beattie Miller
I'd nealy do it if I still had my wild card.

I've provisionally gone with Crouch as captain, because its hard to know if Ronaldo will play, Chelsea have a tough match, and I don't have Gerrard. Worse case scenario he'll get me 4 points just by playing twice.

Not very happy with my team at the mo but can't afford to make two transfers a week. Got -

    Schwarzer

    Cahill
    Ferdinand
    Baines

    Ronaldo
    Ireland
    Gerrard
    Osman
    Nasri

    Beattie
    Robinho

Not sure who to put as skipper.

Subs: Myhill, K. Davies, Olsson, Figueroa

    Ronaldo,Nasri out

Then next week, you could stick in Drogba/Arshavin for Robimho.

    Ronaldo,Nasri out
    Barry,Lamps in

Made my transfer for the week already to bring in Rio for Bosingwa as Figueroa isn't playing.

I'll probably ditch Nasri next week, or Robinho.

Think I am going to make two transfers this week

    Schwarzer (Sorenson)

    Vidic Baines Shawcross (Bramble Mendy)

    Barry Ronaldo Gerrard Dempsey Lampard

    Crouch Beattie (Miller)

Does anybody think that the switch from Cahill to Barry would be a good one.I think that Barrys run in is better.

I'm jumping on the Pompey bandwagon. I've brought in Kranjcar for Denilson. I'm thinking of sticking the captaincy on him.

    My line-up:

    Schwarzer

    Evra
    Lescott
    A. Cole

    Ronaldo
    Kranjcar
    Ireland
    Dempsey
    Modric

    Keane
    Van Persie

    Subs: K. Davies, Zayatte, Figueroa.

Anyone got any thoughts on who I should stick the captaincy on out of these five players...?

    Modric - playing Newcastle (H)
    Keane - playing Newcastle (H)
    Ronaldo - playing Pompey (H)
    Ireland - playing WBA (H)
Kranjcar - playing Bolton (H) and Man Utd (A)

Ronaldo might not play depending on FA cup and Liverpool-Arsenal game on Tuesday. It would Ireland or Kranjcar for me.

I'd say go for Kranjcar if you want a differential.

By dropping Ronaldo, I feel you can improve your team drasticially. In understand you're point about Drogba but I feel Drogba will be rested more than Rooney in the run-in. Rooney should practicially play every game. He gets quite a few assist too 'the boy Wayne'.:D

I think i read somewhere that Robinho hasn't scored this calender year, I'd take him out asap, although wouldn't be surprised if he went on a rich vein of form then lol.

    ---Lampard---Delap----Ireland
    Cahill

    ---Keane(C)
    Torres
    Beattie

No transfers this week, but really can't decide who to drop, have Taylor,Lampard,Cahill, Ireland,Ronaldo in midfield, strikers are RVP, Arshavin and Beatie.

Lampard and Ronaldo have to start as does Beatie and Arshavin.

Thinking of leaving out Cahill or Ireland, at the moment leaning towards Ireland. That said maybe RVP will not start this week.

Too much exposure to Arsenal up top when you consider they are playing a top 4 team..

Indeed. Had him since the start :)

7 points today, and a chance of bonus points as well I'd say

Aye, just about to pick him as captain but went for Crouchie instead.

Should look an inspired decision when he hits six goals at Old Trafford.....

Kranjcar got injured playing for Pompey and looks set to miss the United game. Really delighted now I brought him in and stuck the captaincy on him.

Up to 28 points with 5 still to come.

Didn't deserve any tbh. Elano was MOM and got 3, Brunt was excellent and deserved his 2. Greening however is a baffler for the last one. Should've been sent off early on and didn't do much. Onouha deserved a mention.

Still though, Superman played average yet bagged 2 assists. Some man.

Have 38 point so far with 6 more to play: Ronaldo (captain), Gerrard, Lamps, Alex, Lescott and Skrtel...

Brought in Kaboul and Cisse this week and worked wonders so far - getting me 9 and 7 points respectively :p

Will be expecting more than 70 points this week :pac:

Nice one! Obviously Gerrard wont play...who's your first sub?

I've 31 with 7 to play. Ronaldo (c), Crouch, Hrrediasson, Baines, VDS, Kuyt, Lampard. More importantly, my rival used 3 subs last week and has a different captain (torres) and no double week players.

This is my make or break week. I have been desperately unlucky not to have gain ground on his 80 point lead last week but hopefully this is one of the weeks Ronaldo gets his finger out and Torres has an off day.

Anyways, more fool me for linking Liverpool with defensive solidity.

Well I can't fault you on that front as I thought the same, that's why neither Arshavin or Cesc got the nod for the captain's band this week.
