Depending on what teams are chasing you I feel you definately need to make some transfers. Getting Gerard in is a must and I would also bring in a foward as well, maybe Anelka or Arshavin if the finances permit.

I worked out that he essentailly has the same team except he has Bassong (suspended), Figueroa, Dempsey, Fabregas, Anelka and Miller (doesnt start).

57 points is a pretty solid return considering I'd no Ronaldo, Adebayor (who I went for instead of RVP :rolleyes:) or Tevez today.

52 points. 70th in the Boards league. 4th in my own head-to-head league.

Enjoyed the season but I think my biggest weakness was the choices I made for the captaincy, some of which were really poor.

60 today and 253 in the boards league, 1910 points overall and 3rd in private one. Enjoyed the season but never really got the captaincy right the whole way through. I did however get through another season without Ronaldo. :cool:

30th in Boards and won all my private leagues. 2 years in a row now that I've used the wildcard in week 3, definitely the way to go.. it set me up with a solid team from the start.

Stephen Ireland was pretty decent value too.

Finished in the top 160 of Boards league, not bad for the first I stuck at it for the whole season!

Not really player of the season, but Baines was a steal at 4.5 for the last few months and bringing in Pienaar ensured I won my private league, he's on fire!

Schwarzer has been class, and Paintsil was great value, I think he only cost 4m at the start.

My joint lowest scoring week of the season,38 points. Won my head to head league and also won two of my private leagues, 2nd in the other one and end up finishing 50th in boards league, so a good season,overall points 2,045 sees me finish 9,103.

Yeah same here. I just couldn't get the captaincy right this year, easily lost out on about 200 points because of it.

Still, finished on 1997 Points though which was 23,466th overall. Disappointed that I didn't make the 2000 mark and I would've if I hadn't of made the double substitution this week, doh!

Won both my private leagues and came just inside the top 100 in the Boards league at 99th and won the Head to Head weeks ago. Decent season considering I started off so bad.

I was just looking at the starts by country, some interesting results.
Ireland has the 2nd highest amount of FF managers, obviously behind England, 3rd being Malaysia!
Ireland has over 3 times the amount of Scotish managers, over 7 times the amounts of managers of N. Ireland and nearly 6 times the amount of managers of Wales!

Terrible end to a great season - 33 points only and made 3 howlers in the transfer market last week :mad:

Finished in the top 5,000 in the world (was in the top 2,000 2 weeks ago) and 33rd in the Boards league...

It was an incredible year of ups and downs for me FF-wise.

Started very poorly but rallied somewhat mainly due to my defense of Arbeloa, Laursen and Bosingwa. By Christmas, I has a 150 point lead in one league and my attention turned to beating my mate in a separate league.

Everything was going well until the Christmas period when Bosingwa, Arbeloa and Bosingwa all got injured/suspended and by January I was 80 points down. With alot of stat checking and a bit of luck, I pegged him back to about 25. Then ona faithful day he captained Gerrard who scored a hatrick, I found myself back at square 1.

With 5-6 weeks to go , I was 79 behind. Last week, thanks to Kuyt and Gerrars, I got to within a point. Yesterday I scored 51 and he scored 36 which game me a 14 point victory. Very sweet indeed!

Great game, but it's going to be a long wait until August!

1961 points for 157th in the Boards league. Not great tbh and will be expecting better next season.

3rd in the SSF league as well (that team did better in its Head2Head league than my main one)

2159 for a finish of 389th in the World.

6th in Boards- one better than last year and top ten three years on the trot.

Won my head to head- about 6 weeks ago.

Injuries in Feb killed me really. Had to take a 12 point and 8 point hit in two weeks.

Nice to see Ronaldo didn't make as much of an impact- spreads the wealth around.

I still maintain a 5-4-1 formation is the way to go. Three years inside the top 2,000 players can't be wrong.

1873 points, around the 135k position.
326th (ugh!) on Boards, 145th in DCU...
And 2nd in the Head to Head losing by a point, even though I had the best point difference of the lot.

Ah well, it can go better next year.

Had to check the start date of this thread to see when FF will be reopening. Im having withdrawl symptoms already cant wait to start another year of it.

Won the best part of 500 euro aswell in a private league this year. No Ronaldo makes the game a whooole lot better.

But just expect everyone to have Gerrard/Lampard combo now unless they bump the price of the two up. 13.0 for either im thinking.
