    Call for Audition

    On Monday July 7th 2008 we are holding auditions for a short 3-minute performance film in the format of a music video. The film revolves around five characters playing out scenarios in which they attempt to communicate without the use of speech, through dance and movement.

    The accompanying song (which we are currently composing) is made up entirely of the human voice (humming, singing, beat boxing, etc.) and each character has a specific track on it to mime along to- with the tracks based on language phonetics. We're going for a highly styled look (like a neon version of Sweet Charity), a glamorous but quirky utopia.

    The film is to be screened at Prix Europa 2008 in Berlin (http://www.prix-europa.de/), and we are looking to secure an Irish screening here also. On completion of the film, we would of course give you a copy to add to your reel/portfolio. We also plan on doing some character/costume photographic shoots that we could give you copies of as well. The film body we're making it for (E'3 Film) have a distribution plan in place which involves a dvd distribution throughout Europe and possible online viral marketing campaign.

    The rehearsal dates required are from, approximately, July 15th until the 2-day shoot on the 13th & 14th August.

    If you could prepare the following for audition:

    Acting Parts:
    1) A short (max. 3mins) spoken piece of your choice, that relates to the part you are auditioning for.
    2) A short (max. 3mins) dance piece (to music of your choice, or without music, whatever you prefer) that showcases your ability.

    Dancing Parts:
    1) A short (max.5mins) dance piece (to music of your choice, or without music, whatever you prefer) that showcases your ability.

    Audition Date: Monday July 7th 2008
    Location: Black Box Theatre (basement floor), Dublin Institute of Technology, Aungier Street, Dublin.
