Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The barrage of questions continue......I just noticed my Bubbler Airlock has no red cap on the top, most of the pictures and information show a cap on top. Should I have one, is it badly needed? Can I just cover with a sterile coke cap?

Na you will be grand. just make sure the is some water in it to prevent nasty getting in to the vessel.

I you are really paranoid you can add some strong alcohol (like vodka) in stead of water, but i think this is a little over kill.

No needs, just keeps dust out, and bugs. Some bugs are attracted to the smell, slugs and snails love fermenting beer!

Put the cap over if you want. I didn't even bother with airlocks half the time.
