MarkN - Any further news on this? Or have you just resigned yourself to being stuck driving a 335i?;)

I've been up to my eyes in work the last two weeks so I haven't had a minute.

Going to give the car a decent wash probably tomorrow, getting it into the specialist dealer on Monday for some pics for their website (hope it doesn't rain much this weekend!) and I'll take it from there. I'm not too keen on dealing with Carzone myself for a car this price/performance.

Really don't want to sell it but I've sort of accepted it's going (fingers crossed it bloody sells now).

I've looked at an awful lot, even the Fiat Coupe as has only been mentioned two posts back or something. I keep coming back to a nice, clean Boxster.

I'm going to try shift it first and then when I have cash burning a hole I'll be back to you all again with my questions no doubt!

You sound like a man who has already convinced himself. Good luck in selling the car. Then go get that 987S and enjoy. You won't be disappointed, I can assure you.

With all the pics of that screen, I can't help but think it was a big part of your life? Only 2 out of 14 pics are of the car itself!

Ye I went to upload more but it limits you to 15 and I had no idea what I was deleting from the post.

Saw the car two or three weeks ago on the quays - looks great. Am finding it hard to find a manual one though!

Lovely looking car Mark. Did you notice the UFO hovering above your car in this shot :)

    Look at the reflection.

Sorry only saw your post now.

Did it myself but there's not much I don't have that a pro valeter does - it got a coat of Swissol wax over the weekend hence the shine.

I also took out an Idrive pic especially for JHMEG.

Eh.. have you seen the price of diesel recently:D?

Any increases in the price of oil will affect the diesel owner more so than the petrol owner because there's less diesel being refined than petrol.

A 330Cd has 102 bhp less than your 335i; think of it another way, your 335i has 50% more power than a 330Cd. You're only getting 2/3rds of the bhp available in a 330d, yet you are paying 3.0 litre tax and insurance, and even though diesel is 20-25% more economical, it is also 10 dearer on average, so it will only be a small bit cheaper to run but diesel clatter, noise, as well as a BIG power drop, and yes it has more torque, by a massive:rolleyes: 7 lb ft, it also only delivers its 302 lb ft between 1500 and 3200 rpm; compared to your 335i's 295 lb ft at only 1300 rpm yet keeps going all the way to 4900 rpm.

It's amazing what a difference one can see in mpg if one watches the mpg meter though and eases up on the throttle though.

I hate to say it but in today's economic circumstances, who is going to buy a 335i? You have to think about that too. It won't be worth anything like what it was last year, because the used car market is quite simply dead at the moment. You said it yourself that you've "never been so insulted in all.... (your) life" when you wanted to trade in the 335i for was it an M3 or something similar?

Just look at unkel's 735i. Pristine and all as it is and how long has he been trying to sell it? He's dropped the price of it a couple of times as well, and it's still for sale. It's getting much harder to shift cars these days, the cheapest option of all is to use the 335i less and keep it.

The only way to consider a 330Cd is with the DMS upgrade. That'll leave you with 265bhp and some more torque (forget how much).

if it was 12-18mths time I'd seriously consider buying it off you. For now though I'm afraid the money just isn't there.

I love it though, it is a stunner.

Its a shame you werent selling 2 and a half months ago, went to Joe Duffys twice to try and make a deal over the silver one they still havent sold. I could have swapped you the R32 for it and given a few quid too. Great car by the way.
