Cant see work group computers!

    allo,
    ive got 2 computers both linked wirelessly to a sweex router, both can access the internet fine but when i try to share files they have a problem - comp 1 can see itself in the workgroup but cant comp 2, it can ping it tho! comp 2 cannot see itself but can see comp 1 and can ping comp 1, but cannot explore comp 1. i have firewalls turned off on both comps file sharing is enabled on both comps too!!
    has any one any ideas? im stumped!!

    Silly question but are they in the same workgroup to start of with?

    Change the name of the workgroup to something else, enable simple file sharing on both of them.

    Type
    ipconfig /all
    Copy the ip details example 192.168.1.1

    Created a shared folder on one of them example " MYFolderblah$ " of the other system
    open up run type \\192.168.1.1\MYFolderblah$

    if it works grand just map a drive to it for next time and do the same on the other one.
