If I puchase a sat nav with europen maps, am I right to presume that the maps are exactly the same regardless of where I purchase it, ie;if I get a garmin 255w with European maps in the uk, will it have the same detail of Irish roads as the same unit purchased here. Yes the maps are the same regardless of where in Europe you buy it. I say Europe because a 255 purchased in the US will have North American maps instead of Europe.
