    Hi
Are there any happy customers here for Irish Broadband Breeze?

In my house, digiweb dont have signals due to trees
eircom has no previous line and hence need 122euros (this is a rental house)
dont want to go with ICE
so left with irish broadband - breeze - 2mb fixed wireless for 36euros

can any suggest about their service and speed?

what speednet test results can I expect?

FYI - I am based in Maynooth

    thanks in advance

4 years happy but I'm in dublin, never any major problems.

Anyone that I know with a Breeze connection hasn't had any complaints. If you have a PS3 you might have some issues logging into the PSN but other than that their service seems ok.

is IBB increasing their speed too like others are increasing?

can anyone submit their speedtest results here
considering to use their service for voip

If you're going to be using their service for VOIP I recommend calling them up and letting them know this in advance, that way they can flip a little switch on their end that will give you a more constant stream of data.

My brother has IBB Breeze in dublin and loves it. The speeds are consistent and it has never gone down. There should be no problem with voip IBB Breeze is symetrical 2mb down/2mb up.

    thanks for your replies...

is IBB following others in upgrading their speed?
are they doing any upgrade from 2mb to 4MB and 3mb to 6mb?

Yes... yes it is but it's not a constant stream of data as every sector on a highsite only communicates individually to a customer's radio on an interville of 5000 miliseconds. For a VOIP call to stream correctly they'd need to reduce it to at least 1000 miliseconds on their end.

I've worked with Alvarion equipment in the past so I know that this can be an issue.

I had IBB Breeze for 2 years and it was ok for downloading and browsing the web. However it was useless for gaming...

Where are you on the north side?

i normally get 20-30ms pings to most uk server's and 15-20ms to irish ones

Bad routing tables on NTL's end I suspect.

they just didn't buy capacity here when they bought out ntl they all ready had pops in the dam etc so I think it was a a financial desicion.

but I would of thought at this stage they would have sorted that out

That is quite strange alright... does it increase latency by much? Got any test trace routes that I can see just outta curiosity?

I've talked to my brother on skype while he was using breeze and there was no problem at all.
