Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Court Summons - speeding

    Hello,
    I am looking for advice.
    I was a delivery driver last summer for a company with a fleet of vans and many drivers. I got caught doing over 80 Kilometers by a speed cam last july. I was notified by my boss,i signed a form admitting responsibilty and they said they would take fine out of wages. Fair enough. i don't have any records of wages for last summer anymore.
    I just received a court summons today for an appearance on july of this summer. i haven't worked for this company since february.

    What happens if i do not appear?
    Is there any point contacting my old boss?
    Can i plead ignorance if i appear in court.
    Whats the fine/penalty points?

    Thankyou for any advice

    Well the fine would have been sent to the registered owner, they would have named the person driving with their address and you should have received the fine. Fine was not paid so you were summonsed to court.

    If you dont go to court, you'll get 2 probably 4 points and a large fine.

    Nothing to do with your boss. He obviously filled in your address correct on the original notice as you received the summons.

    You could pleas ignorance and say your boss said it would be taken care of. If the judge believes you he may allow you to pay original fine and points.
