You could go to a boards beers or a ladies lounge meet up.

I think it would be diffcult for an Irish person to meet another paddy in Dublin these days.

Definitely go along to a boards event.

Welcome to Ireland ahappygirl. I am here from the UK. Live here full time, and don't miss it or want to go back! We had 2 Korean students stay with us last year. The names were difficult to say, it was something like Wan Suk and Wan Chi, so we called them Number 1 and Number 2!

Edit: Definitely go to a boards beers! (we are organising one soon aren't we? Hint Hint!)

There's nothing planned at the moment and it might be a couple of months before the next one as we had two big beers recently. There'll be notices posted on the site when the next one has been organised.

Welcome to Ireland ahappygirl, think having Irish co-workers must help a lot as all my Asian co-workers have always been asking me if I knew how they could meet others from their home countries who were here. Guess they got sick of us Irish pretty quickly...

Answer is it's a pictogram emoticon, the girl is as yet unfamiliar to our usage of smilies and so is using the method she is familiar with to express herself.

Hello Korean girl .Your climate is not so great either .I live now in Thailand and see many Koreans with very white skin come here on holiday in big groups .They all wear big hats as if they are afraid of the sun burning their white skin .
Irish people can be friendly but many are insular and can not understand other cultures .Unless you go to the pub and get drunk you are not one of them .Hence i am glad i am out of Ireland .

Every single one of them? Bit of a generalisation.

Rubbish and again, generalisations. You don't have to get drunk if you go to a pub in Dublin. There are plenty of clubs, organisations and events that don't include getting drunk, you just have to get out there.

i disagree with you on that !
korea has such a nice weather.
    we have four seasons.
but, because now is summer in korea It is over 30 degrees !!
yes ! korea's summer season is boiling hot !
but we have a very lovely weather at spring, autumn~
and korean usually prefer white skin to dark skin but it depends on people.
in my case, i think dark skin is better because it looks healthy!
