Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I'm flying in and out of HCMC with 21 days in between. I'd like to see a bit of HCMC and then Angkor Watt, Killing fields, maybe some more of Cambodia, from there to move on to Laos(not sure what to do here) then on to Hanoi. and back to HCMC.

Any one have any idea how easy it is to do this in the 21 days?
Whats the best way of moving around from point to point? can afford to fly a little but not much. Probably fly Hanoi to Nah Trang or HCMC. and willing to take one more.

But to get from HCMC to Cambodia? and from the to Laos and from Laos to Hanoi? I'm not sure of how to go about this.

If you know, cost and time to travel between these place, would appreciate the help. Sorry for the spelling.

You are going to be tight for time to see much in that space of time.

Fly to and from Cambodia because the roads are so bad it takes forever to drive anywhere.

Seeing Vietnam by train is the best option. Get a ticket in HCM to go right to Hanoi. Best places were Nha Trang, Hoi an and Hailong Bay (spelling wrong). Hue is extremely missable if you are tight for time. I would stretch to say the Hanoi is missable as well. It's ok, if you have time its worth a night or 2.
You can get the ticket in HCM rail station. It's slowish but you will see loads.
There is also a really good website from some dude who won't fly and holidays by train. You need to google it cause i can't remember the name of it..

Fly from Hanoi to Laos???? Like i said time will be an issue for you but don't waste loads of time on a bus when you can fly cheaply.

That's a short amount of time to fit so many places in (especially Cambodia and Laos where travel is so slow). Would you consider just choosing between Laos and Cambodia? Might make things easier for you and you won't spend your entire holiday on the move.

Ye i think Cambodia Loas and nam in 3 21 days is crazy. You'll be wrecked from that much travel and unable to enjoy anything.

Ive been to loas and Cambodia, tbh the Killing Fields are hardly worth going to see and the road to get there is crazy. Angkor Wat is nice to see, but tbh i didnt like Cambodia one bit. Loved Loas though

    Cheers for the replys Lads,

I've been to Vietnam before, and loved it, I agree the train is nice to take and Hui is missable. want to go back to HCMC and would like to see Hanoi.

What advise would you have to help make a choice between Laos and Cambodia? Want to see Angkor Wat but after that just want to relax maybe see some jungle, and stay in a lodge for a few days . but whats in each country i'm not to sure.

I found thekilling fiels to be really interesting but Phomh Penh was a bit of a dive and pretty missable.

Loved Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) but i have heard so many brilliant things about Laos that I'd say people will advise you to go there. I haven't been to Laos so i can't yay or nay on it. But the whole trekking thru the jungle thing is common there i think..
