Hello, trying to decide which car to buy 03 audi 1.9tdi or volvo s40 04 2L diesel,anybody know the mpg for these cars and which would be cheaper to run.

I'd go for the Audi anyway;)

I'd go for the Volvo, much more car for the money than an A3, that old 1.9 TDi is very noisy and course. The 2.0 PSA HDi in the S40 is much more refined plus being based on the Ford Focus it handles well.

Of those two i'd go for the volvo as they can be bought dirt cheap second hand

Also consider the SAAB 9-3 1.9 Diesel
