name of colour

    i have an avensis (2000)

    few scratches i want to touch up. i cant find the name of the paint. i know halfords has wide range of touch up kits but i need to know name of code of paint.

    its a very very very dark grey metallic colour. its not quite black.

    any ideas?

    is there something on the car to tell me the coulour>

    log book should have the exact colour on it i think or if not look it up online i'm sure u will find it there

    Its on a white sticker inside the central pillar on the drivers side (open the door look left at the pillar you should see it). thats the standard spot. Look for colour code....

    as for the log book it says black..... but its not quite.

    i tried lookin it up on line for you and all i could come up with was a colour called gray,gray have a look at the toyota web sites hope this helps

    No offense but be grateful you're getting any info at all!

    Now i'm no Toyota or paint colour guru, but i'm sure Tom posted up a list of general toyota colours that are common across the toyota models, or that it is solely Avensis.

    I've a nissan and the paint code is in the engine bay (on the plate with the VIN no) maybe try there

    thats what i meant by all info no answer. thatere is lots of grey metlic colours there. wiyth lots of years following.

    i am sorry maybe my question wa too vague. i need a code that can be found on the car. there has to be one somewhere.

    anyway i apoligise for my shortness but i just felt that there wa the answer surrounded by bullsh1t as usual

    The problem is most good paint sites are set up for Toyotas sold in the USA, which are a different story altogether from some of the models sold in Europe, the Avensis been a prime example.

    A toyota main dealer can get you the touch up paint based on reg number. same price as Halfords too.
