strange telephone number

    Hi. I got a call last night which i didn't answer . The number coming up (on my landline) was 234270025.
    Does anyone have any ideas what kind of number that is?
    There is no 00 or mobile prefix before it?

    234 is the country code for Nigeria as one guess.

    thanks spear, i saw that 234 is the code for nigeria but there was no 00 before it.

    Just got a missed call from the same number - 234270025 - and also to a landline. And it was without the 00 at the start.

    Any clues on what it is would be interesting.
