Sure Raam, I'm definitely in for the B200!

I will try find out by then some info for you on cycling in the Alps in southern Germany. Have a few contacts I should be able to prime.
A few questions to let me focus my research:
Will you have a car to travel from Munich, or will it be public transport?
What kind of riding would you want to do, i.e. point to point or loops?
How long & hilly/mountainous do you want your avg spin to be: e.g. 1000m/100km or more?

Let me know and I'll run it by a few friends.

Tutschel, thanks a million for checking this out.
Car: yes, we will have a car (myself and my bro)
The rides will be loops and the distance I'm hoping for will be approx +150km with good climbs.
I have so far found these routes and the bro has done some of them and liked em.

    Hi,
I live over here in that area myself and know some parts of the routes. Go for it, the scenery is fab, roads are super smooth and there are many great places to stop off, beer gardens, cafes etc. THe lakes have the best water for swimming ever.

Thinks I have found over here is

    i) Motorcyclists love the same routes as road bikes, so be prepared for some noise. Its not an excessive amount, but I know myself I stay off the roads in the summer here in Bayern and head into the hills....or do it early in the day.. Basically all those yellow roads prob have more traffic than a national secondary here, but with just as many twists and narrow stretches.

ii) While the roads are smooth, the cycle trails alongside are certainly not. Outside the quiet country streets (i.e alongside busy roads), its more or less expected to use the cycle trails.. Road bike is really not suitable for the trails... I think the tags in bikely suggest this too

iii) Plenty of good company on the road with serious metal, but , You are really missing the best of the bavarian atmosphere by not going on a mountain bike up to the huts at the mountain tops, perhaps stringing a few together in a long trail.

iv) If You are thinking of giving it go over a week or so, maybe consider a transalp from North to south, taking in a few 2000meter climbs or so (Just back myself from going over Grossglockener)

(gps points seem a mess!) There are dozens of routes, some for road bikes and some for MTB..

    v) if You have car, great, but fill the tank in Austria, else.. BOB train or DB train is the way to go, its cheap and regular from the stations.

If You are coming over, let me know, Id be delighted to go along for a bit

Thanks for the information G-man. The trip is for road cycling only so we won't be going near the trails at all.
