Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

sftp and permissions

    hi,

    just a query, i create a file with permissions 664 and when i sftp to another server and send this same file it ends up there but with permissions 644. is there away of setting this up so that you always send the file as 664...without having chmod everytime?

    Cronjob to chmod the directory every few mins maybe?

    the problem is that regardless of the permissions i set the file to when i SFTP to another server it always revert back to 644. i have changed the umask to 002. is there anything else i should be doing~?

    Have to ask, but are you using -p to preserve permissions?

    its reverting on the destination box i sftp into

    no im not using any switches, sftp is a feature of an application residing on the unix machine. and the application doesnt allow you to do anything other than log in and put or get
