Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes, I missed that point. The guy was saying that it's all in proportion to how much money is being pumped into football - My apologies.

If you give a football club £100 million, to improve their team, that will all be spent on players. It has to be.

Now if you've lots of clubs with money, obviously you've increased demand for players, so you do your best to attract them. How? Money of course. Footballers are an incredibly scarce resource, and clubs pay the appropriate fees for their services.

...which does not suggest they deserve their unbelievably easy life, but the fact is they are payed that amount of money cause people get joy off watching a ball being kicked around a field. When people get bored or the interest dies down it will end.

Basically don't envy them. Just play football for the joy. If you like football so much it doesn't matter if its in the Nou Camp or in the Phoenix Park.

Well-said estebancambias (Where's the 'o'?). I cannot argue with that viewpoint at all; nor can anyone else.

What does deserve have to do with it? It's all about economics.
