    What milleage does a timing belt need to be change in a 2003 VW Polo

    According the honest john it says every 4 years. Presumably that means about every 50k miles???

    hi! I just changed the timing belt on mitsubishi lancer, 60000 on the clock. It should always be done with water pump and tencioner. But 60k is a bit early for original parts to change, cos everything I took off looked still like new. Timing belt had no cracks at all.

    you never said what size engine is in it??:confused:

    if it is the 1.2(12v) then it has a timing chain.
