21st Party Theme-HELP!!!

i am having my 21st birthday party in September and where im from its suppose to be THE party of your life!
problem is im all out of ideas for a theme thats not so boring my grandparents will like it and one that no one thats original????

please please send me you theme ideas!!! it will be so much appreciated!!!!!

I dont get this whole send up about 21sts really. I just sent to the pub with my friends for mine.

Themes that might work in with grandparents ... hmm ... this one may require some thought.

What about a Saints & Sinners Theme? Covers alot...... Nuns, Priests, Hookers, Devils, Angels etc. etc. Would suit everybody!

Hey just saw this thread now....I had my 21st in Feb and hosted a Murder Mystery Party. Everyone dressed up as characters and it worked brilliantly! I didn't invite many of my older relations, my grandparents weren't too keen, but any adults there loved it as much as the young people! Everyone mingled with each other all night!

I bought a game from www.nightofmystery.com, i got a casino themed game, so I set up a few tables with poker and blackjack. We decorated our house with casino style banners and red lights - it was really cool.

As for music, we played James Bond style music while the game went on, and at the end switched to some cheesy party music!:o

Friend of mine is having her 21st soon enough..her name begins with 'C' so we must dress as things/people that begin with that letter.
