    Hi folks,
Mate of mine got 2 points on his license in 2004 and only found out that his license expired in 2006. He was talking to a person in the Roads Safety Authority and they said that the points stopped counting down once the license has expired. So therefore now that he has renewed his license he still has 1 year to go on the points he received in 2004. Anyone know if this is correct? Does the 3 year timeframe for the points suspend when your license expires and only starts again when you renew?
Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience?

From a similar perspective, if you get points here when you actually hold a UK licence they will be waiting to take effect from when you change over. Can't see the expired licence being any different.

Now to wait for someone to post a point about the driver getting points while holding an expired licence.
