Dual suspension for 250 is never going to be any good.

that bike will weigh slightly more than the moon... but it does have "Tyres style mountain." so that's a relief. it'll be utter misery over any distance, but you probably won't know any better so, if you really really think you need full suspension to go down the shops, i'd say go for it.

if on the other hand you wish to do some cycling i'd say have another think about it.

only going to use for cycling around city mainly and occasionally longer cycles of about 14km max ,i like the suspension for jumping up and down off the foothpaths and cycle paths but theres not much else ive seen at this price range, even without suspension

I dont really want to spend more on a bike since they get stolen so often in my area

if anyone has any suggestons for something better with or without suspension feel free to post them

good god man how big are the kerbs in your area that you need a full suspension bike to drop in off them?
Ah I remember the days of my Raleigh Burner, bunnyhopping up and down the kerbs. I don't think they'd even thought of suspension at that stage.
Total overkill. You'll struggle to get to your 14km max spin with that bicycle shaped object. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole personally. Best off getting a decent second hand for that sort of money - and keep it simple : no disc brakes, no suspension - less to go wrong and less cheap and heavy parts.

Giant, Trek, Lapierre, Kona, Focus and Specialised would ones that I can think of off-hand. Avoid the likes of Apollo or anything named after a 4x4 car.

You're not going to get proper suspension on a cheap bike.

You could get a cheapo city bike for 130 euro.

Err, yes, that is me buying one :o - for my wife's co-workers to do the 1.5mile trip between their office and data centre.

They do look okay actually. I'd nearly be tempted to get one for when I want to cycle into town and leave a bike locked up there.

That looks like a good deal, I'd recommend it to the OP.
