Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In Windows Vista is there a way to set the default folder view for all folders to 'Details'? Every other folder view type drives me nuts but I can't figure out how to set this as a default.

Likewise, is there a way to set the default download folder to be opened whenever you try to download something in Internet Explorer or Outlook?

In explorer set a folder to the way you want to to look. Details etc. Then Tools/Folderoptions/Views. Apply to all folders. In the little tick boxes below make sure you untick the "Remember eachs folders view settings"

    Oops thats not the question!!

This selects your default download folder

Click [Start] [Run] [Regedit] and navigate to the following Key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]

In the right-pane, change the data for [Download Directory] to your existing download folder.

    [Enter full path, say E:\Internet\Downloads]

If the entry is not found, create a new String Value [called as REG_SZ] named Download Directory and set the data accordingly.
Quit Registry Editor and Restart Windows

Maybe a script will auto open.
