I've been looking for a larger desk, how much did that cost and what is the desk called in the catalogue?

  • Registered Users Posts: 956 ✭✭✭steve_

For some reason (dont know why!!) these were end of line, so i picked it up for 30euro. I actually work in IKEA and the closest desk to the one i have both in size and durability is the fredrik ones

    http://www.ikea.com/ie/en/catalog/products/40111124

Also i got a little lack side table to put my PC on as you can see in the pic, only 7 euro

AHHH see what you made me do!! damn free advertising!!

Nice rig there deano, my only worry would be about the airflow to the pc, being in the corner. Hows it holding up?

  • Moderators, Technology & Internet Moderators Posts: 18,377 Mod ✭✭✭✭Solitaire

Wouldn't be too bad, front and top are unobstructed and as the side isn't flush with the desk there's room for secondary circulation via the graphics (that's a HAF922, so no side fan!)

What Solitaire said ! Aswell as that theres a window just to the right of the rig, which is nearly always open.

My setup wont stay like that for long though I don't think, I'm probably gonna sell the Mac and pick up one of them fancy 3D monitors :o

Some bookshelf speakers for Christmas as well, and maybe reallllyyyyyy quieting down the rig.

Hang on lads, ill be back in a minute....just gonna pick some money off the money tree out the back  :D

I really need a super-cheap 12/13" laptop but the scourge of Atom has obliterated the market :mad::mad:

Tell me about it, theres very few small laptops with ''full sized'' CPU's in them, and the ones that do are expensive.

I do like these i3 processors though :D

Can the hard drives be installed the other way around?

When I tried reversing them, they didn't seem to slot in all the way so I just left it.

I've just looked up a few reviews to check, and on one site they mention being able to reverse them - so I guess it's possible.

I'd sort it out, but I've already handed the machine over :(

Changed around my GPU's, added an Asus Essence STX, and moved my SSD's.
Getting there. Just need to finish my sidepanel fan mod and I'll be happy.
