me and my house mate are buying this from ovcerclockers so it works that way for us :)

what did you do about the fact that it was £19.99 and free deliver is for £20 and up? what else did you get?
I bought some compressed air. I've been meaning to buy some for SO long. Ideally I would've love something for 1p but no such luck. Had a £10 voucher so it wasn't that bad.

Could've paid £1.99 to get it delivered locally (newsagent etc) but decided I wasn't in that much of a rush for it and went for supersaverdelivery.

How do DVD drive enclosures work? Is it one size fits all? Is it easy to convert an internal one into a usb one?

The two differences in dvd drive encloseres are the size and the type of connection, you have either a slim line enclosure for a laptop dvd drive or a standard size one for a desktop dvd drive.
And then make sure it is either a sata connection or an ide connection but pretty much all dvd drives for past few years are sata.

My NZXT Hue arrived this morning. Even with Super Saver Delivery it got here in less than 2 days. Might not get around to installing this side of the weekend since the indoors are coming over

Card arrived a few days ago, only got it installed 2 days ago, and had to make some new holes for the H105 to make it fit. Haven't had much time to play around with it, actually reviewing it myself, so will be posting all the benchmarks and such myself. Max temp was 48-degrees, and that was with the heat we have been having. So the cooler is pretty epic.

Will have more pics soon, including the monitors and such. Finally coming together nicely.

Very nice build, the FuryX really complements a red & black colour scheme. GL with it.

Cheers man, very glad with out it turned out Although I have gone back to my previous NF-F12 Noctua fans, as the NF-F12 IndustrialPPC are just way too loud, and may pick up some Corsair SP fans, as they would go nice with the overall build, but the Noctua NF-F12s are so good.

Thanks man, I haven't noticed it, so looks like I might be in the clear. although, My last graphics card had some coil whine, and I only noticed it when I was taking it out to put this in. So probably wouldn't have gotten to be anyway.

    Good stuff!!
    :)

Those corsair fans are quite loud imo but i'm very fussy about noise.
I use these as they are very quiet.

Just got a chance to play around with it again. Pump whine is insane. It's like some is using a hoover in a closed room next to me. It's impossible to ignore now.

I have already contacted AMD about it, as the retailer I got it from will require me to post it back, and that will cost a bit (their in Spain) and take ages.

AMD better have zero issues replacing it themselves, and make sure I get one with the new pump.

Shocked I didn't hear it before, but I had an fan on in the room due to the heat the past few days. Guessing that masked it a little.

Thinking of changing my Corsair SP fans as I find them a little loud too. How did you find the performance of the Alpenfohn, any different or worse over the SP120s? I'm looking for something very very quiet but not sacrificing too much in performance in the process.
One of my D5 pumps has an annoying buzz also so I might have to replace that.

I replaced some of my GT's with them and not noticed much of a hit on performance. They are quieter than the GT's imo and run silent when on low rpms.

I'm in the middle of re-builing my rig atm so if live near me your more than welcome to take a lend of a few of them to test.

    Noctua's are pretty damn quiet.

    http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=produkte&lng=en

I've got the NH-D15 CPU cooler with A15 fans x2. A15 for exhaust at rear and x3 F12 PWM for intake at front of case.

Have the three stock 120mm that came with my H440 at the top. They're louder than the others but overall pretty quiet.

Im considering the Noiseblocker Multiframe ones. Quite pricey but if they deliver on their promise....

If they're around the same price as Noctua I'd go with Noctua all the way. Do a bit of googling check out tomshardware website. Majority of people speak highly of Noctua in general.

I'm just OCD about it because I spent the last 5 years using a mac I can't stand to have anything on the desktop.

Extra screen does look handy though as you don't lose any space on the main screen for temps etc...

Thanks but I'm ruling out Noctua due to the colour scheme. The black/brown versions are just about bearable but the specs suggest they'll be too loud for me.

I'm looking for some 120mm fans around the 1200rpm or lower, CFM > 50 and dB(A) rating below 20 if possible.
The current Corsair SP 120 specs are 23dBA, ~38 CFM @ 1450rpm. Surely I can do much better then that even if the manufacturer specs arent always accurate. Most of them will be rad mounted while I'll need two at the front of the case and one 140mm rear exhaust intake.
Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 have been shortlisted too.

Got my new cards today. Just wow. No benchmarks yet, but GTA V more or less maxed at 5760 x 1080, 100hz> and barely hitting 73 degC..and the coolers are amazingly quiet. Loudest fan now is a corsair Sp120 on the H80i :D
