    someone was watching porn

Nah..I'm ambidextrous, can change hands without missing a stroke

Yeah so am I but I'm normal about it...

Do you use wasd? It seems like it'd be awkward to use with a lefty mouse

Prefer to use the arrows, Num 0 for sprint, CTRL- crouch, shift - jump, enter - use..

Nope, prefer to use my left-much faster mousing with it. I am used to switching over and back from using the LHS & RHS button layout at this stage anyway so using a right hand mouse with my left is second nature.

i am a lefty as well and i used my mouse in my left hand at home all the time, got so used to aiming with it and then i got a razor tarturas and had to o right handed. i am still not as good at aiming with the right yet but getting there. once they make a left handed gaming key pad i am going back for sure.

Did this over the weekend. Glad it's finally finished. Had the idea when EKWB announced their single slot Fury X water block and the Fury X pump whine issues weren't helping.

Very nice Thor, make sure to add a pic when the black pci riser arrives!

Hoping it will arrive soon. Currently using a cheaper cable that works, but only runs the card on PCIe 2.0, and can only reach an X8 slot on the rampage v extreme.

The Black PCIe 3.0 riser cables have arrived. I will be posting some pics later today and a makeshift review of the cables.

All of the cheap ones I have seen are just PCIe 2.0, which won't really cause performance issues, but still nice to run at the rated bandwidth for zero issues in the future.

Bad picture but I'm sure it's enough to tempt you even more into the 4 monitor setup :D

Updated the album with some more shots, including the new PCIe extension cable.

Had some changes, now looking to get some red LED's to light things up a little, but want to make sure I can turn them off easily.

Build an 8 core PC and follow the upgrade path from W8 > W8.1 > Windows 10 ..

    Watch..

My first look at Windows 10,, and I like it..

    Just after installing a xfx R9 390X.

    http://imgur.com/a/vA5N4

Last shot shows airflow, 2 in at the font (120mm)
1 out at the back (80mm)
2 out at the top (120mm)
Passive flow in at the bottom (in green) beside psu.

Cable management is not wonderful but will hopefully not impede airflow . Might look at a bigger case or one with better cable management.

Finally got a PSU without bastard coil whine-third time lucky. PC is now virtually silent at idle. Result.

Tidied up cabling as much as possible, will sleeve them properly when MDPC starts selling again..

Nice and tidy cable management. Looks like a decent amount of space behind the MB tray. Bit more than the FT02?

Cheers Deejer, a bit less depth behind the mobo if anything.. I ended up taking out the DVD & HDD caddies to keep it neat-don't use em anyway.

The FT05 is much easier for cable management as there is more room to distribute cable slack as its a deeper case.

Nice work man. Am waiting on mdpc also. Planned a build for like s year, got sound to building it and mdpc closed down about a week before I put in an order! E22 have a decent selection also of Telios and all the connectors etc you need.

The first PC I've built for myself in ages. Usually I just use whatever I have handy to hand, but I finally decided I was sick of using a different PC every other week. I didn't bother replacing the stock Intel cooler yet as I'm temporarily using an i3-4160. I replaced all the fans that came with it with red led coolermaster sickleflows but they're crap, the light out of them is pathetic unless it's dark. Will have to get some led strips instead.

Your mobo looks tiny in the case mine is the same ive only a matx.
I like your case tho loads of space. What gpu are you using?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

I always choose mAtx, much tidier and I never have any need for any slots apart from the pci-e lane anyway. Case isn't huge but when you tidy your cables, it really makes the most of the space. It's a GTX 690.

Why not just just go for an Matx case then? Save on all that deskspace :D

Everyone's case is so much neat and tidier than mine I'd be embarrassed posting here, the Antec 900 v3 just isn't great for cable management. :o

Ha mine is just as bad its just the bitfenix ronin covers the wires really well.

Lads there is a new silverstone lascala htpc case for sale on adverts for past couple weeks im so tempted to pull the trigger on it just wondering does anyone have any experience on doing a build around one of them? What is cooling and gpu space like in them?

I have that exact case the last 4 years, excellent piece of kit, have 6 4tb hard drives and a SSD for OS, plus BR drive, plenty of room for GTX750 on my board anyhow, extremely sturdy piece of kit and looks the biz, get it!!!

My stuff for sale on Adverts inc. EDDI, hot water cylinder, roof rails...
