There's a numbering in the boot under the carpet, should have the bhp.

Engine code will be on the VIN plate, under the bonnet. Also it will be on the reg cert. Thats assuming that the engine hasn't been changed or anything.

All 6-speed diesel golfs were 130hp from late 2001 anyway.

Oop's, forgot about the PD150. I thought that the 130hp replaced the 115hp in September 2001, got it off honestjohn.

If your engine is indeed a PD TDI 130 then it will have the "ASZ" engine code, located on the side of the timing belt cover, inside the carpet in the boot, and in the service booklet.

Check your spare wheel compartment, there will be a little stick with information on it...
It should give the Frequency.....96 Hz...is a 130BHP, you basically add a third of the Hz to the original figure...so (96x1/3) + 96 gives you 128BHp so its a 130 bhp..
If it has 111 Hz its a 150BHP..........simple as!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do mean kW not Hz right. Hz measures sound not power.
