Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm on a loaner pc - just downloaded VLC, I've no idea how to get a link to work in it

(I've tried file > open network stream > Http option and whack in the url

I had to also check the stream/save box in the advanced options and go into settings and check play locally.

Just as I said it was perfect it's started playing up. Still good though.

Dossena off the line! Great defending, should have been a goal.

Good game. Good to see close to the starting lineup playing.

Benayoun, Kuyt, Torres & Keane all interchanging positions. Playing well.

    You were right :)

Although it kind of looks like a standard 4-4-2 at times with Keane playing in the hole.

I thought that myself but he's listed as 25 on the official site. I presume because it's not a Premier League game they don't have to wear their "official" numbers and someone else was wearing 25. I wish he'd just take 1 to be honest.

I think Pacheco was wearing no. 9 in one of the preseason games (before Torres came back), so I think you're right.

Damn I always pick the wrong moment to place a bet for +4.5 goals. Pennants such a waster.

    Hopefully he'll be gone soon.

One of the biggest positives from today was that there was no Voronin:p

christ Pennant really just doesn't look like he gives a fuk..that rubbish last cross he put in from the left when he had loads of time, followed a few mins later by giving the ball away stupidly just sum him up at the moment. Would be surprised if he's still a liverpool player come the start of the season.

    <edit> apparantly im not alone!

I only saw the second half but I thought there were some excellent performances. N'Gog, Nemeth, Spearing, Benayoun and Alonso all looked excellent. Pennant wasn't too impressive, I think every cross he took was overhit.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Decent performance but Rangers are fairly blah - Nice to get the bagful of goals.

Main two who impressed me were Ngog and Dossena - From what we seen so far Dossena looks well decent, and looks nicely composed when he does get up the pitch. Also the goal-line clearance was awesome. Ngog showed great composure, nice skills on the ball and good awareness. As Rafa said might need a season to build up physically but there is something to work with there and £1.5m could possibly be a complete steal. Early days yet but still.

Pennant when he came on looked woeful - he looked very much like someone who knew he is on the way out - fingers crossed Ince didnt see this performance though as it ciould scupper a deal. Spearing, Nemeth, Insua all looked like decent squad players with future potential.

Thought Plessis had a good game as did Benayoun - much better than the last day for Benni - would hate if we sold him unless it was for shedloads of cash.

The idea of Keane,Torres and Gerrard on the pitch together makes me feel full of massive AWESOMENESS - I think we may look back at the purchase of Keane as massive massive genius by Rafa. Getting kinda excited now:D:D:D:D

Pure class today.Jesus H christ scottish football is pathetic to say the least.Ngog,Dossena and the trio of Keane,Torres and Keane looked excellent today.Got a feeling that Keane is the missing link for us this season. He is brilliant at linking up the Midfield with the front and wide players.Team is starting to build up a head of steam for the new season which is good. Was it just me or is Ngog looking like a steal for us.Good with both feet and very quick. One for the future for sure :)

Good post. I thought Benayoun was brilliant today. Made some great runs where he took on and beat 3 or 4 players..

    Dossena was impressive too.

I have a little concern about N'Gog after today. A couple of time when he lost the ball he didn't really seem too interested in chasing back to try and regain possession. Saw Torres/Kuyt/Yossi/Nemeth fight back when they lost the ball, but not always N'Gog. He's young though, and hopefully with a little help from the Anfield coaches they'll show him the light:p. Look sto have great skill though, and could be a great asset to us in the future.

    Did they boo Keane?

Eh remember Rangers actually have an important game during the week, I doubt they cared.
