Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think Wenger seriously needs to stop looking up the Football Manager data editor and signing players with -9 potential AP.

I just hope that the whole city thing wasn't just him calling united's bluff. Maybe he was pushing for higher wages from united or something. It all sounds a bit too suspicious anyway. I really really hope he goes to city though.

Can you sign a 15 year old from another country? I thought they had to be 16 min.

Well apparently he's currently on trial with us and we seem to be heading the race to get him ahead of Madrid and Milan and the guy is being tipped as the new Messi!

    Well...

    ...probably is until Ade leaves!

I don't see the point in signing Agbonlahor as he's a poor finisher and we're about to get rid of one of those in Ade. I don't think he would be any better than our backup strikers either so, what's the point???

It was always 'the next Zidane'. This is actually the first 'next Messi' I've heard of.

Huntelaar turned down Stuttgart. says he wants to play in the Premier League.
    Wenger, checquebook out, NOW!

His precocious talent has already earned him the nickname the "Messi of Madrid" by the football press..

Messi is so darn young to have a next Messi. I woulda thought we'd wait till he was like 25/26.

See you on the field in a year or two ;)

In what sense? The fact that he may be going to either Spurs or Stuttgart?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

I'd be delighted if we signed him. Always thought he was class.

At least not within the UK anyway. I know it's live on Arsenal TV on Arsenal.com

Maybe some Asian or American countries are streaming it.

It's listed as being covered here.

I'll be tuning in. Come on the Arsenal. Exciting season ahead for us. :)

I know it's only pre-season but have to admit not really impressed with the opening 20 minutes.

Isn't it just fantastic to be watching the Arsenal again? And great to see Rosisky playing, he's one of my favourite Arsenal players, and captain today! Really excited about the coming season.
C'mon boss, get the cheque book out and bring in that DM.

1-0 Arshavin! nice movement from him and nice assist from Watt!

Hopefully bag a few more in the 2nd half!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 9,425 ✭✭✭FearDark

Great work by Sanchez Watt down the left to cross in for Arshavin, 1-0 to the Arsenal.

EDIT: 1-1 and yet again the dodgy defence continues...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

    Another set piece tut tut

  • Registered Users Posts: 508 ✭✭✭itsjaybud

Gallas not much of presence in the air once again.:(

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

Not enough silky passing, maybe it's just the pitch though.
Have a feeling Rosicky and Arshavin are going to go off and we haven't really get any stand out impact subs so should be a tight second half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

    10 changes?

    EDIT: Great goal 2-1 :D

What a goal. He looks like he'll score a few.

Nacer Barazite scored that one there and Arshavin scored in the first half.

Was impressed with Rosicky's half, great to have him back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

Yeah great to have Thomas back haven't been that impressed with Vermaelen Though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 279 ✭✭TheNorthBank

This is after turning into a pretty dull affair.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

Yeah the tempo has dropped big time.
    EDIT:Jaysus the defence is poor.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,709 ✭✭✭CR 7

This should make it more interesting anyway.

    Cos it's 2-2, by the way. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Nice one :D anyway thanks to Arsene again for bringing his boys up to Underhill. Certainly a good way to get the season going from a financial perspective. Now all he needs to do is to loan us out a few of his young starlets and we'd be truly grateful :D

Weird interview with Rosicky there at the end - not that it stopped me getting a bit emotional to see him giving any kind of post-match interview of course :pac: Deadly to have him back.

I wouldn't worry too much about Vermaelen - the basics looked good, good passer of the ball and decent positioning to sniff out a few chances. He could've been sharper on the second goal, bit flat-footed, but it's only 18 July so we don't really want anyone to be killing themselves just yet.

Turned it off after the final whistle, so missed this interview. In what way was the Rosicky interview weird?

Probably take a bit of time before they get the animatronic programming working;)

Or maybe just rusty when it comes to the whole interview process??
