Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If a tree falls in the forest, could you come up with something more coincidental?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

It's bloody annoying to watch. We've Carew and Heskey up front who are both bigger than their center halves, but we don't seem to be trying to get the ball up the wings to put in crosses for them.

They both keep having to drop back to get the ball

No but thats not the point is it?

    It's exactly the point.

I'm hopeful that Villa can pull through this joke of a pre-season and reach our potential. But that's far more likely to happen if the fans make reasonable complaints heard, rather than just smiling and nodding.

I've done years of negativity and pessimism as a villa supporter and you'll be amazed to hear it's pointless.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,661 ✭✭✭✭Helix

    3-1

    as it stands we're through

best bit of football ive seen us play for about 8 months

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

    Good play Albrighton and Young

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,452 ✭✭✭Time Magazine

We have Young, Downing, Milner and then Albrighton and Bannan on the wings. Petrov, Reo-Coker, Sidwell and Gardner in the middle. Heskey provides competition with Carew, and then Gabby faces competition from 4-5-1, the addition of Tuncay would be great but not even all that necessary. So if Tuncay were to cost £9m, using the numbers above and assuming we sell Homer for about £3m, we've about £25m to spend on defenders.

    Haangeland - £10m
    Distin - £4m
    Warnock - £4m + Shorey
Leaves about £7m for a RB.

Come on MON, get the finger out.

Edit: good to see an Irishman in the claret and blue again. Go on Shane.

i believe its very possible for Villa to still get the players in that are needed as youve outlined however a CM is def needed as far as im concerned.
