Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Morning all,

Posted this is the property forum but think i might get some useful advice here

    So here goes.....

Myself and my ex split up about 7 months ago, we were going out with each other for about 6 years, we own an apartment together which i live in at the moment and pay a mortgage for my half. My ex owns his own house and lives there.

My problem is we aren't exactly the best of friends at the moment and he's threatening to go to his solicitor re: selling the apartment frown.gif

Where do i stand with this? Can he go ahead and sell it without my permission? What can i do to stop him as this is my home and i have no-where else to live. Any advice would be great....

Take a look at the Charter - you can't seek legal advice here, I'm sorry. Please bear that in mind in future.

Having said that, who would buy half an apartment? If you both own, then the apt. cannot effectively be sold unless you both agree or a Court makes an order (ie. he takes legal action against you).

Your best option practically speaking is to try and find a way to buy him out. Bearing in mind the state of the property market, its a good time to try this.
