Then you're not allowed to be in a bar after 9.

This is Irish Law and is something we on boards are *very* serious about. We would have all sorts of complaints in the press and all over the place from parents who weren't looking after their children who let them out to meet their internet friends (i.e. attended a boards beer) and they ended up needing their stomachs pumped and other such nonsense - worst case scenario, but you can accept the possibility of such an event with modern tabloid journalism and parental shifting of blame for their own short-commings.

Sorry to seem all heavy handed, but it's not something I'm going to allow boards to be put at risk for.

You'll be welcome to stay until 9, but until you're 18, you will be going home after that. :)

Hmmmm, well I'm sure she meant to warn you at some point. She just forgot. Either way none of the internet randomers have tried to kill me yet despite warnings about that so I think it's fine!

I probably will be in temple bar that day. If I decide to go to the beers (I say I only might go but lets be honest I cant resist the sauce) i'll probably be in early enough.

I know it's cancer inducing burny time, but the blinds are still down here. I have just found this site with reviews of Dorans:

    http://www.dublinpubscene.com/thepubs/eamonndoran.html

The toilets are a bit dire apparently  and the prices are a little highr than most pubs we have boards beers at.

Bit late to be changing our moinds now! Its advantages outweigh the disadvantages, IMHO.

Must agree with DJ spider I'm afraid. I used to go there when I was 16. 7 years later I'm still asked for ID everywhere and never got asked there. It's where we used to go when we couldn't get in anywhere. :D

At least they play good music. Unless you let the staff near the juke box. they only play rap music... bad rap music.

I've never noticed any major problems with their toilets.

Dorans is nice enough place and tends to play slightly better music than most places... ie. you're in with a chance of hearing something by The Doors.

As Doom said, no point changing now, it'll end up with half the people in Dorans goin "Where the f&$% is everybody?"...FACT!

The only problems I've ever had with the bathrooms is that they're small.... Other than that the place is grand. Much better soundtrack there than anywhere else we're likely to find on a saturday night! Hurrah for Doran's!
