Mounting a 32" Samsung

Hai, I've got plasterboard in the corner where I want to mount the TV. I was looking at a swing arm mount. I think the TV weighs 18kg.

I've read that I need to mount it on the wood lats behind the plasterboard so I was looking for the best way of finding these without tearing the walls apart as I've no money to get it re-plastered.

    Studfinder!
You can pick one up in a decent hardware store for €20 - €30 or ask somebody who is a carpenter, etc for a loan. Will only take a few minutes to locate the studs!
Place the stud finder about six to eight inches to the left of the general location of the stud. (Usually get a rough idea by tapping on the plasterboard)Press the button on the stud finder. Slowly slide the stud finder to the right.

When the stud finder indicates that it has located the stud (usually with a red light or a beep), immediately stop moving the stud finder. Mark this spot with a pencil or scrap of masking tape. This is the left side of the stud.
Repeat for the next stud eh voila!!

Ordered a stud finder from teh interwebs over the weekend, should be this week.

Though of another idea for the TV. Cut a hole in the wall and put some new studs/lats in to about 5 feet high. Put a horizontal piece of wood across the Lats/studs, put plasterboard up on the other sides. So the TV would kind of sit into the wall.

Not sure how hard it would be to do or how much it would cost. Any ideas?

Finally got this mounted on the wall. :) (got a friend to do it so I can't claim any credit but it's up and secure.) I ordered a stud finder called Stud-4-Sure. Basic product but very useful. I couldn't get it here in Europe so I'd to get it in from the US and A. It worked out at about €30 all in.

I then purchased a B-tech mount which was only €100 compared to that price on Komplett. Upon getting the mount home, I started fiddling around with it. I wanted to get the plate onto the back to at least have something done. Lined the plate up and inserted the screws only to find that they were too small. :( I did some googling only to find that Samsung decided not to follow the VESA on models similar to mine for some retarded reason. The VESA standard is M4 screws but what fit the threads was an M6 but it was too long so they had to be cut to size.

I've yet to tidy the cables but when I do I'll throw a pic up here.
