    What's it like for calories? is it high? is it bad for losing weight?

    yep, pre made sauces are lethal deadly dangerous, make your own with fresh ingrediants

    yep. although most of them are very nice and complement any meal. a full jar will have something like 300 calories alone, thats before you even eat your food. they also have a huge amount of sugar and salt and are best avoided completely. sauces typical to those are easily made with chopped tomatoes some veg and some spices and taste nicer and can be made in bulk and frozen

    some of them are alright, just check the ingredients, and you can get 3 meals for one out of most jars, so 1/3 of a jar isn't that many cals

    Sugar content is the one to look out for. Uncle bens is better than the store brand ones. Still worth checking.

    The info is all on the label, just learn how to read and compare them. Generally tomato based sauces can be low in fat & sugar, and hence low in calories, while still being nice & spicy.

    Some will be high in fat, like kormas etc, some high in sugar like sweet & sour.

    Pataks do very good sauces, I get hot ones and just use a little.
