Holy crap, another final table? Dara seems to final table about half the events he plays in Ireland. When I left late last night, blinds were 1/2K and Dara seemed to be sitting on about 15K, how on earth did he get it up to 371.5k?

I gotta say Dara is either a truly great player or on a Jamie Gold esque run of Luck. For me it looks more like a truly great player. I played opposite him at the JP Masters and he didn't seem to get out of line at any stage very solid player.

I'm sure with 15k with blinds at 1k/2k he won some races's/sucked out but that what you need to go deep/win tourneys.

JP best of luck with the club, I hope it all works out for you.

    Regards
    Ian

Nice one. Testament to your bouncebackability to be able to go straight from a sick bad beat to that.

Was a pleasure to meet you and play with you for almost the whole tournament, your overall game is one of the most impressive I've ever seen.

Big thumbs up too to JP for another truly great tournament. As I've said before, we're blessed to have the likes of JP and Neill Kelly organising tournaments with great structures for reasonable buyins and reg fees. Really great card room that I'm already looking forward to visiting again, great staff (many from Luke's I noticed) and great location.

Thanks for the kind words. There was indeed quite a bit of luck in the run from 15K to 300K. I don't remember any suckouts but I kept picking up hands that were marginally better than the best hand at the table. First double up was aipf with 8's against 5's, then there was a flopped set with 8's again when Ken from the Macau shoved with a flush draw, a blind steal with Q9 suited that went horribly right when the flop came Q99 and Dave Masters had a better queen, and a flopped set of jacks where my opponent called an all in on the turn drawing dead with pocket 10's.

    Names Alan m8!!

3 of us made the 2 hour journey down to this from Fermanagh having seen it posted on here, an we will be back down for the next one all being well.

What persuaded us was the structure of the tourney, buy-in & stack size not your normal crapshoot bulls**t for the buy-in amount!!

    Few quick comments

    1. Paul Ward, this man was on fire on saturday night playing his stack superbly even though he called my qq all-in with 57 off, much appreciated the double m8!! :D

    2. Paul Coyle, excellant player this guy, took a wobble at the start of the final table but came back strong & imo deserved winner!!

    3. Derek Andrews, my m8 is a fish an scrapped a lucky 2nd!! :p

    4. Residents bar shutting at 5 o'clock Sunday morning , had to try an scab some warm cans of Becks from the casino!! ;)

Finally, an excellant, well run, friendly tourney with a good standard of play jus a pity i went card dead at the final table!! :(

    Roll on the next 1

Just as a point of interest. Do you plan to open this during the winter festival and IO if it's held there. Could make a killing if you do

Best of luck with this, you deserve some success.
